What is nano?

A nano or nanometer is a measurement that is one-billionth of a meter. Ultra-small particles are absorbed more rapidly and penetrate more deeply into the skin and our nanoparticles are the smallest of the small.  By using the nanoparticles, the active ingredients in our products permeate into the skin 2-3 times faster than conventional products. Worldwide, Superior Nano offers the only skincare and joint relief products based on lipid nanoparticles.

Other companies claim their products are nano; is it the same as Superior Nano?

Yes and No. Nano is a word that companies use to describe their products if the particle size is less than 100 nanometers.“Nano” is a popular word for products across various industries. Everything from hair dryers, skateboards, and candy to cars and yachts use nano in the name. Most often, "nano companies" will only "nanoize"  one active ingredient or particle while the rest are conventional size. However, only Superior Nano topical products "nanoize" all ingredients for increased bioavailability. And we provide proof: Each batch has a Certificate of Analysis which shows the particle size distribution from dynamic light scattering.

Are nanoparticles dangerous?  No, none of Superior Nano’s products contain any ingredients that are harmful or dangerous. Your safety is our first concern and we will always select ingredients of the highest quality.  There are some industry concerns about metal oxide nanoparticles in sunscreens but none of Superior Nano's products contain, nor will ever contain, metal oxides.

Are there any toxic ingredients in Superior Nano's products?

  • Parabens

  • Phthalates

  • Propylene glycol

  • Sulfates

  •  Ethanolamines

Skin Health FAQs

Do you use any synthetic fragrances?

We will never use any synthetic fragrances in our products. Our fragrances are alcohol-free essential oils, which provide a light and fresh scent.

How do I use the skin health products, Daytime Radiance and Nighttime Therapy?

After cleaning your skin, use one pump of either the Daytime Radiance or Nighttime Therapy. Due to the particle size and its ability to penetrate deep into the skin, it is best to apply before other face serums. The pump bottle automatically delivers 1/150 of an ounce each and every time. In most cases, one pump is enough to massage across your entire face. If your face feels too “wet” it means you have applied more than you needed to.

Does the Nighttime Therapy need to be used differently because of the Retinol?

Retinol is an excellent active ingredient for restoring skin cells, but new skin cells burn easily and therefore retinol may make your skin more sensitive to the sun’s rays. Thus, most skin experts will say, it is not recommended to use during the day when your skin will be exposed to sunlight. If you are worried about a slight reaction to Retinol, we suggest introducing Nighttime Therapy slowly, starting 2-3 times a week. On the nights you do not use Nighttime Therapy, try the Daytime Radiance product. If you do not see any reaction to Retinol, continue to add it into your night routine.

Do I need to use a moisturizer too?

We would say no. A nano face serum allows it to penetrate deeper into your skin, which helps with long-lasting moisturization. Most of our customers say that the Daytime Radiance and Nighttime Therapy are extremely effective moisturizers, which saves you time and money!

When will I see results?

Since everyone's skin is different, results may vary from person to person. Typically, if you use the product daily, you will see a noticeable difference in skin hydration and radiance in 2 weeks. Within 4 weeks, you should see a significant improvement in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.

What is CBD?

A chemical compound found in the cannabis plant and female hemp plant. CBD is not THC, and therefore it does not have a psychedelic effect on the body. CBD is known for having therapeutic effects on the mind and body, as well as reducing stress and inflammation.

What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are the naturally occuring chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant and hemp plant. Most of these plants will have roughly 66 cannabinoids. Cannabinoids exert their effects by interacting with specific cannabinoid receptors present on the surface of cells. The most abundant of the cannabinoids is CBD, which is thought to have anti-anxiety effects.

How do I use Superior Nano’s CBD serum?

Our pump bottle is designed to deliver 200 microliters with each pump. Typically, one or two pumps is the right amount to cover a knee or shoulder; use less in smaller areas. Massage the serum evenly over the area 2-3 times a day, or more as needed. If the discomfort persists, continue to use the product consistently.

How much CBD is in each pump of the bottle?

  • 1% CBD Serum (200 microliters per pump) provides 2 mg of CBD per pump (both menthol and fragrance-free serums)

  • 1% CBD Massage infusion in 2 oz bottle (200 microliters per pump) provides 2 mg of CBD per pump

  • 1% CBD Massage infusion in 4 oz bottle (1.8 mL per pump) provides 9 mg of CBD per pump

  • 6% Broad Spectrum (200 microliters per pump) provides 12 mg total cannabinoids and 10 mg CBD per pump

What fragrance do you use in the CBD products?

The fragrances are alcohol-free, essential oils.

  • 1% CBD Serum fragrance free product has no smell

  • 1% CBD Menthol CBD has both menthol and camphor

  • 6% Broad Spectrum has both eucalyptus and spearmine essential oils

Are there other nano CBD companies?

Yes, but not to the Superior Nano degree. Since "nano" is the future technology, many companies are trying to incorporate its technology into their products. Most of these companies will only "nanoize" the CBD molecule and not other components in their products. At Superior Nano, our particle distribution range is second to none. We "nanoize" the ingredients at a extremely small size, to drive the benefits deep in your skin, where skincells are produced. For every bottle you buy, there is a Certificate of Analysis downloadable from our website which shows the particle size distribution measured using dynamic laser light scattering at the University of Minnesota.

Is there anything dangerous in CBD products?

Depends on the company. Some companies do not monitor the contaminants or residues in their products due to the cost. At Superior Nano, all of our products are cleanly made with no mold, toxins, pesticides, solvent residues, or plant growth regulators (PGRs) while the plant was cultivated.

How does hemp seed oil compare to broad spectrum hemp oil?

Hemp Seed Oil does not contain any cannabinoids and therefore does not provide therapeutic benefits.  Lower cost products on the market may use hemp seed oil, as there is much confusion in the market. On the other hand, Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil comes from distillation of cannabinoids from parts of the hemp plant including flowers, leaves and stems – not seeds.  When used in Superior Nano products, Hemp Seed Oil is present only as a carrier for cannabinoids, not as an active ingredient.
